Gluejeans is the latest coup of the self-proclaimed fashionfugitives Gerrit Uittenbogaard and Natasja Martens. After coming up with unique mirror-masks and very-popish pincushions, G+N investigate the leg dress. Handmade and strictly limited, not sewed but glued - this is the idea behind the gluejeans collection that has been launched few days ago during Amsterdam International Fashion Week. Extensively tested for two years, Gerrit Uittenbogaard and Natasja Martens guarantee a high quality standart and long durability and besides that, the two designers also offer personal customisation of the glued denim beauties. In my opinion, a great opportunity for those who don´t want to buy the big labels off the peg and although I usually don´t fall into rupture when I see red seams, I have to admit that the eye-catching rough and irregular glue-lines really strike me.
Gluejeans are sold in selected stores, customised models are glued in the G+N Amsterdam studio. For more information click here.

“The Gentleman’s Jeans is a pair of blue, elegant jeans, created for a mature man of work and leisure. The jeans has been designed by Gert Jonkers and Jop van Bennekom from Fantastic Man together with Creative Director Jonny Johansson at Acne, in a style that has been seen before on our fathers and uncles, but now updated and made wonderful for today. The Gentleman’s Jeans is available in a limited edition at Colette in Paris, in selected Acne Studios and at the Acne online store.” Acne Newsletter

- legendary on the pitch and now translated into the world of fashion. Puma was meeting Evisu, 2 years later, adidas finally met someone too: the ladies and gentlemen from Diesel whose business is the denim part of life.
Already announced in November 2007, tonight the adidas Originals Denim by Diesel collection - two male and two female models presented in four different washes - was officially launched in Berlin´s adidas Originals store. Well, the idea isn´t that new and innovative, but like Mr. Hermann Deininger CMO adidas Sport Style Division says: “Now, when a consumer walks into one of our stores, we can offer them a complete look - from a track top to jeans to a pair of sneakers“.
I don´t want to play the killjoy - so clap your hands and jubilate for those who go crazy for being dressed up from head to toe in the their favorite label. The Jeans models are really nice, and i guess, that there are enough intelligent, cultural-aware people, that know how combine their pieces to not become a adidas advertising pillar.
Starting spring/summer 2008 the denim wear will be exclusively available in the adidas Originals stores. Prices range from 160 Euro for the female models up to 210 Euro for the male models. Representing the partnership of the two brands, the range is as well recognizable by the adidas Originals Trefoil and the Diesel co-branding as well.
