Already with her first collection Iris van Herpen presented a passionate statement for the conceptual fashion design and the masterly manipulation of uncommon materials.
For her AW 08 collection “Chemical Crows” which is shown here, the Dutch designer got inspired by the mysterious, dark world of alchemists and manufactured stunning, birdlike couture-creations out of leather, iron, chains, brass and hair.
In her SS´09 collection, Iris van Herpen challenges to bring Refinery smoke into dress-art and gifts us again with otherworldly, super-aesthetic creations.
