“The creative industry is experiencing a noticeable upsurge at the moment. An innovative project from the European cultural institutions is using this momentum to start an international competition.
The young creative prize winners will be determined in two separate phases. In the first phase candidates from the participating countries will be chosen to present themselves in the second phase to a prominent international selection committee. The closing event will take place on October, 18th in Berlin offering a platform for publicity.
The competition is an initiative of the Goethe-Institut, in cooperation with EUNIC, the Association of European Cultural Institutes Berlin. The main sponsor of the project, is the company Quelle, whose main interest is the advancement of young creators in the field of fashion and also the strengthening of their position in the younger market. createurope is also supported by the Cultural and Creative Industries Initiative of the Federal Government under the lead-management of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, as well as the Federal Foreign Office.”
