Lucy And Bart
10. November 2008 Art & Fashion
If I would have to face the choice, to be at the command of an artist for one day, I would turn in my head to Levi van Veluw and my body to Lucy And Bart.
The Dutch designer duo, Lucy McRae and Bart Hess, describes its work as “instinctual stalking of fashion, architecture, performance” with the human body as the center of each staging.
With low-tech way´s Lucy And Bart deform, re-shape and amend the human silhouette into playful, fascinating and sometimes abhorrent body-installations. Alike Levi van Veluw, McRae and Hess predominantly use common materials such as for example paper, balloons, foam, nylons.
Blown away, each time, when the duo finally comes up with a new image, I really hope, they will never lose time and interest for working on the human silhouette.
