Organic cotton, recycled/reused materials, made in Europe, wearer friendly and bio degradable -
Pia Stachina stands for an approach to design that takes its cue from nature in more ways than one.
The collection of the Central Saint Martins graduate aims to be the antidote to the waste of resources, using the most sustainable solution for every step of the collection – from the clothes to the packaging to the marketing -, while never forfeiting sophisticated, luxurious and contemporary design.
All materials are chosen for their sustainability, all fabrics are natural, organic where possible or reused/recycled. All colors are achieved with minimal impact dye and the print process was digital to save water, energy and dye.
To encourage emotional/psychological sustainability, the clothes are unlabelled, to enable to wearer to forget about their original context and instead integrate them into their wardrobe and their own style.
