Italy is famous for the shoes, France for the couture and Great Britain? Of course, for the headwear.
Those who aim to maintain high standard and class go “with” and one view to Ascot is enough to make us understand, why in this country millinery will never die off..
And of course, the most successful millinery Avant-Gardists come from the island.
Besides the already well-established Justin Smith Esquire, Soren Bach and Piers Atkinson bring some fresh taste and ideas in the scene.
And beyond doubt, the latter – Piers Atkinson – can be described as the most exciting millinery newcomer of the year. (read on after the jump)

Calling himself „artist”, Piers Atkinson was hiring out so far in the PR-business and got all of a sudden enlightened while drawing. At first go, the appointee create a bespoke Mikey-Mouse-esque headwear collection with oversized plug-in elements.
With his second collection, Atkins leaves no doubt that there´s always a brighter, louder, more colorful and raises the bar in terms of eccentric.

It´s doubtful, if Kate Middleton will turn heads on the royal horse-race with an innovative cuddle-toy headgear. Cate Blanchet already tested the Mickey-Mouse Ears for Vogue and – SurpriseSurprise – didn´t lose dignity at all.
