When a graduate project becomes a sneaker brand it´s Flaek. Sven and Oliver, two German media-design students aimed high when they came up with the idea to create nothing less than „the best sneaker. Ever“. While their fellow students hustle pixels on their monitors, the pals who consider themselves as sneaker-holics go for real stuff.

If there´s somethint to celebrate in the world of fashion, Colette comes up with a limited edition.
This has always been, is always happening and will probably always stay like that.
And Barbie? It´s a Topseller. This also was always like that, is currently like that and will also probably be like that.
So, it goes without saying that in the year of Barbie´s 50th birthday, Colette rounded upcoming and senior designers up to bring a limited Barbie edition among the mob. There´s the obligatory limited Barbiedoll editions as well as T-Shirts and posters. At dear prices. This is how it works.

Paris-based design collective Andrea Crews comes along kind of barefaced. Their T-Shirts with Barbie clothes applications are sold for nearly 400€, which is more than overpriced for such a predictable idea. Don´t buy. Rather raid your childhood treasure boxes and do it the DIY-way.

It took US-designer Colleen AF Venable to find a giraffe, she once had as a child. Documented with various posts and nearly 2 000 photos, her online-project “The Stalking and Murdering of a Childhood Giraffe” found it´s happy ending and its crowning finale with a connect-the-dots tattoo.
A documentation on Flickr shows the development of Dave C. Wallin´s Tattoo-work which has also been featured in the book INKED: Clever, Odd and Outragous Tattoos.
