If Rosie Kent´s and Liria Pristine´s heads wouldn´t have flashed so über-blond and über-red, i certainly would have passed the window, the two were sitting in during a Berlin Fashion Week event. Instead of, I turned back and got enchanted.
Spreading both, a breeze of 20s Swing and water waves era and an urban cosmopolite-coquettish charm, Rosie and Liria, the heads behind Pristine Smut,  presented their unique knitwear jewelry on a table and on their necks, arms and heads. Knitted jewels to reallocate, to adhere and to drape - so far, always an aversion to me. Too much knit, too much volume, too much extravagance, too much attention.
But against my expectations, the knitted jewels draped on real woman looked great. Precious and covetable, yes, even really charming and unobtrusive. There was no sign of this absurd seriousness and hyper-artsy attitude that made me feel so uncomfortable with knitted jewels so far.
And so, today I am looking forward to present the young jewelry label Pristine Smut to you and I really hope, the two Central Saint Martins graduates Rosie Kent and Liria Pristine let lots of heads turn while sitting in that window in Berlin.

Bold colors, wild fringes and accentuated shoulders are the key-elements of Scott Ramsay Kyle´s designs. But there´s more to it than that. The fantastic uniqueness of Kyle´s creations comes with the virtuoso embroideries that are places on high-class silk-, cashmere- and woolen canvasses. The Central Saint Martin´s graduate regards himself as “Embroiderer and Designer” and is so proficient in as well the creative-inventive as the technical-sophisticated components of his job, that couture-house Boudicca and designer Emma Cook already resorted to his embroidery-designs.
About his designs, the Central Saint Martin´s graduate says “BECAUSE I am an embroiderer there’s always quite an element of craft in my work. Then, when it comes to putting it into fashion, it’s all about strong girls. Everything has quite big shoulders, and I like it”. (Source)
Craftsmanship and avant-garde design, Scott Ramsay Kyle definitely adresses the keen fashionista and not the wallflower. Personally, I am not really into the accentuated shoulder-thing but I totally fell in love with the colorful fringe dress shown above and i wonder how it feels to wear it.

SHE? Simone. Actress. Blessed with a keen sense for style and fashion. By accident, sitting next to HIM while watching the Germany-Turkey soccer match and discoverd - in between French fries, beer and goals - what HE´s doing besides watching the European Championship.

HE? Three keywords suffice: Central Saint Martins, Alexander McQueen, Galeries Lafayettes.
Three keywords standing for excellent fashion, for remarkable talent and for a harmonic mélange of design, material and manufacturing.

HE is Stefan Eckert. After studying in London and working in London and Paris, Stefan Eckert moved back to his hometown Hamburg, Germany, to develop his first collection „Take me home, Baby”. The feminine and romantic pieces center both the femaleness and the fragility of woman. The fact that Galeries Lafayettes sells his debut collection exclusively underlines, that we are on the right track when being excited about Eckert´s creations and that we are well advised to keep an eye on the aspiring designer.
