This morning, we strolled around our hotel and got a glimpse of some other hotel rooms. It´s Hotel Fox - a hotel that opened three years ago as part of the Volkswagen Fox car presentation. Announced as “the world´s most exciting and creative lifestyle hotel” Hotel Fox promises unique spartial experiences and great service. 21 international artists from the fields of graphic design, urban art and illustration turned an old hotel into a funky design house and while Miguel was involved in that project in 2005, he really wanted to see that hotel again. Regarding the prices and remembering all the commendable magazine reports about Hotel Fox my expectations were high. Maybe way too high. While the staff is really nice and friendly, the accouterments and the cleanliness of the rooms were little—uuuhhm—disappointing. It´s still fantastic to be here and to have seen that unique hotel project, but comparing “what you pay to what you get” Hotel Fox is an nice, expensive nice hostel hotel, but unfortunately not at all “the world´s most exciting and creative lifestyle hotel”.

There are days that are starting wonderful and end up being still fantastic. While still being in Copenhagen, Miguel and i visited the Louisiana Museum today. And without exaggerating - it´s one of the most wonderful places i´ve been for months. Located on the shore and set up amongst a spacious park areal it´s way more than just a place where you watch some artwork. Just hanging around, watching the sea on the one side of the museum or taking a walk around the lake on the other side of the building was way more recreating for me like a whole spa-weekend.
Inside the Museum we were able to see selected works by artists such as Jackson Pollock, Picasso, Anselm Kiefer, Mark Rothko, Andreas Gursky and lots more…and when i ended up, sitting in front of “Sip My Ocean” by Bill Viola (which actually was my personal highlight of the Louisiana Trip) there was only one more thing i needed to have the realrealreal perfect day: The Hot Dog.
After watching the rescue of a kite surfer in an accident on the ferry, Spanier and i finally made it to Copenhagen. Again - just exciting to step into town. Great atmosphere, fantastically beautiful people and the perspective to have some great -mostly private - days in Denmark’s capital. Missions: Tomorrow, wedding from Louise and Julien, sunday, some sightseeing and a visit of Louisiana. Monday:prowling around with Spanier and maaayyybeeee…..getting rid of him for few hours to do some shopping ![]()
Have a nice weekend too.

After 4 days writing about Copenhagen Fashion Week i promise, i prescribed a “Denmark-Pause” to the Zoo and to me. But as luck would have it, ArtRebels just lead me to… Hvass&Hanniball … and Hvass&Hanniball right went into my heart.
The young Copenhagen based art and design studio is runned by two highly creative woman -Sofie Hanniball and Nan Na Hvass- who seem to be artistic-powerhorses concerning the amount of output in multiple design and art disciplines. From illustration to graphic- and productdesign, from artwork, installations to textiles in the Hvass&Hanniball portfolio there´s nearly no creative discipline excluded. Dish of the Day is a free project by the designer duo - if it´s the entry ticket into the advanced discipline of food design might be questionable, but still, a fun project to watch. Don´t forget to check out the Hvass&Hanniball workshow. DGI City is also a project i got into.

Few months ago, the limited Wear It For The Boy ladyfingers collection caught my eyes - light, summerly knit-dresses, manufactured with a special technique and knitted with a shiny cotton made in Italy. (You can see it here). And now the ladyfinger-story continues - i just detected the winter edition that´ll bring us joyful and humorous through the inevitable coming winter.
