Some call it culture, some call it abuse – and to be honest, due to the lack of experience i´ve no clue at all, what drug consumption really is. But i am pretty sure, Genève-living Frederic Post is in the know.
The artists work somehow reflects themes such as drugs, partying and excess and it´s no surprise, that ecstasy is ever and anon quoted. Whether in the book “Anonymous Engravings on Ecstasy Pills” or in the Ecstasy Jewellery – the pill seems to have an important impact on Frederic Post´s creative producing.
In his “archive”, which is shown above, Frederic Post collected one version of every ecstasy pill he consumed. Unfortunately for him, police took his little archive case away, but was so kind to leave him some photos which he´s allowed to use for his work… (more…)
