Eleven years ago, Bent Angelo Jensen started with a vintage suit rental service, today, he`s one of the most talented German tailors who raises eyebrows with mixing traditional cuts with modern class. Based in Hamburg, his label Herr von Eden dresses urban dandys, excentric bohemiens, artists and everyday guys who never have imagined to ever change their jeans-and-sweatshirt-look.

They call themselves ADIEU – i dare to state, they rather shoud rename in “BUT HELLO”. No clue, who`s behind the T-Shirt label, but definitely a clue on how great the shirts stand out from the crownd of random “printed T-Shirt boredom” we find in so many “young designer” T-Shirt corners. I go for it. If you do so too, go crazy with me….here`s the webshop.

Nicolas Chevallier is rather a painter than a designer. With his young label 180g the French is turning what appears as a funny idea into an attractive business model: he paints clothes. An he paints them in a way that makes them even look better than before. One look at the Nike`s might be enough to explain what he`s aiming for. I like. Wich he could get over to paint my wardrobe mistakes into most-loved pieces. (more…)

Following Freud, our individual id´s follow the pleasure principle in seeking pleasure and avoiding pain. At least in our early lifes, when we haven´t been taught about the exigencies and obstacles of reality. Following fashion, the Pleasure Principle brings us nothing but comfort and pleasure far beyond our basic needs, with versatile garments that can be worn in multiple ways and which are restrained in construction by the parameters of the basic T-Shirt.

Founded by Adrian Cowen and Diva Pittala in 2002 with the intention to bring a conceptual artistic approach to the area of sportswear, Pleasure Principle is fashion basics at its best, combining soft bondage elements with casual, urban fashion for him and her. (See more after the jump) (more…)

OMG. Jumpsuits, knits, jewelry, cut-outs, prints and material-mixing that knows no barriers – Hui-Hui are true masters in the discipline of mixing and matching different styles and techniques to a wearable denominator, and give us great things to watch and wear. Their summer collection 2010 is called “Julian” and was photographed by Florian de Brün. (more…)
In between vintage dreams and new femaleness. With its second collection, the mother-daughter label Family Affairs does felicitous splits of old and new, modern and classic. Although I don´t see myself in this pieces, I consider Family Affairs a remarkable fashion label which I hope to see growing in the following years.

It´s not only a family business, runned by jewelry designer Nina Egli and fashion designer Kaya Egli, a mother-daughter duo – Family Affairs is also a notable example of cross-continental work. While Nina is based in New York, USA, Kaya lives in Switzerland. The one brings the inspiration, the other give the imagination free rein and together they create a wonderful and unique fashion island, visibly lead with heart and soul. (more…)
