Patrik Budenz – Post Mortem

Some days ago, i was talking to a friend about how Patrik Budenz impressed me by visually broaching the issue of death. This friend didn`t even have a look at the photos. Instead, he gave me the feeling to be morbid while saying he doesn`t want to talk about death and no matter how interesting the photo documentation might be, he will not like it. Today, this friend mourns because a loved one died one year ago and he fears with some buddy who might have a serious disease because of unhealthy lifestyle. This all came up today. While i was able to understand the ritus of “drinking a shot together” to remind the death friend, i didn`t understand at all the “making-the-others-pre-griefing” words by this sick friend who is pretty alive at the moment. At least so alive that he could write pathetic emails which provoce pathetic reactions. (Read on) (more…)
