Since the 60s, she´s the undisputed queen of children´s rooms, a girl´s dream par excellence and Mattel´s number one cash hit : BARBIE.
Young Swedish fashion designer Evelina Bratell focused on Barbie´s Clothing during her graduation project and created an exciting collection that is geared to materials and proportions of the doll´s wardrobe. Taken in scene by  FC UNITED Fredrik Evensen & Carl Kleiner, a wonderful dollhouse photo series crowns the graduation project.

Evelina Bratell on her work: “With fabric draped in scale 6:1, I created a collection about 1959 Barbie. In the enlargements, I have tried to stick as close as possible to the doll version in proportions and materials. The conditions are different when you make clothes in such a small format. The task is more focused on simplification, the overall effect and new solutions. Playing, reading, remembering and comparing with the experiences of others have been vital sources of incentive and inspiration to discover and see new things.”

…i become very often very sad. Why? ´Cause I want to know more and more and more and I want to see much more than more. They give me a hard time to spread the word. I always google the hell out of my computer and in the end – mostly I am none the wiser.
I was running into the label Asfalt, when flipping through the Artrebels Shop. And at least it found out, that a Copenhagen shop-owner is the head behind the small label: it´s Hanne Zachariassen.
Hanne has a store in Istedgade 83 in Copenhagen (mark down, for sure you will be in Copenhagen at least once in your life) and she sells clothing, accessories and things from brands and labels we all like. Besides that, she´s sitting in that store and sews. For Asfalt.
If one of you has the change to step by, take your camera – I would be overhappy to see more Asfalt clothing. For those who won´t make it to Copenhagen this season: Asfalt clothing is also sold via Artrebels.

The Copenhagen based label DEVANDERVAR was established in 2005 during the preparation of the two designers Sofie Edvard Nielsen and Tina Vanda Schou’s graduation show during the Copenhagen Fashion Fair. The name DEVANDERVAR is an anagram of the names Vanda and Edvard. A name that symbolizes their two personalities as a new unified whole.
DEVANDERVAR is high casual with one foot in tailoring and the other in street wear. Key words are strong colour combinations and contrasts, thoroughly placed lines with ornament reflections. The DEVANDERVAR collections are built with focus on their signature mosaic from which their new ideas arise creating new impressions.

Danish jewellery designer Vibe Harslof is known for her innovative and urban jewellery that gives strong references to the graffiti scene and graphic design tradition.
With the fafafa collection, she extends her earlier works and comes up with her familiar playful and distinct universe that brings us original pieces, design objects that are young, joyful and easy to wear, but at the same time – thanks to a touch of Skandivaian formalism – , have the potential to last.
