GARETH PUGH - Weekend in Paris was all about Gareth Pugh. Fast as the wind the catwalk pictures raved through the web and critics agreed: It was big. It was forward. It was hot.
Art and fashion – Gareth Pugh unifies it like not many are able to. No more words – others already used them in an excellent way. While I am still stunned and joyous, I recommend to continue reading about Gareth Pugh´s show here and here.

VERONIQUE LEROY - Veronique Leroy´s collection came way less gentrified and swank, but likable and wearable. Although the first attribute that popped up in my mind was “Too much Madame” in the second sight, I found pieces I really go for:

Uh - it´s pretty rare that I watch and watch and watch a collection without coming to a clear and straight conclusion. At first, I was astonished about the new style-direction, the Topshop Unique team adopted under Karen Bonser. And then, after watching the collection the third and fourth time I suddenly missed something. Maybe some extra kick, some finesse…or just little bit more of the “Extra”. It´s just - I don´t think that refreshing the motherly wardrobe-styles is a huge design-effort. (more…)
