The young brand offers “updated classics” by adding unobtrusive details, cuts and materials to timeless classic pieces in a maskuline and relaxed, casual way. RCP_SS10_low-res-21The concept behind the brand´s name comes from old English way of identifying a person by ones trade: the blue collars workers and the white ones academics. With the expression “red collar”, the brand tries to establish a new category, focusing on lifestyle and personality rather than a person´s occupation. (more…)

In a century where nature is as far as possible calculable, where flora and fauna are protected, reared, dominated or even threatened and the creature “human being” is not at all living in line with nature, emotions and attributes we connect with some plants and animals miraculously stayed.

Some days ago, Anna-Sara Dåvik presented her first collection in the context of Stockholm Fashion Week.
While not disliking her collection, but not exactly adoring it, I am stunned by the black gloves with silver nails the former Beckmans and Central Saint Martins student presented. What a surreal idea. (more…)

In every human being vacillation from one sex to the other takes place,
and often it is only the clothes that keep the male and female likeness,
while underneath the sex is very opposite of what it is above

With the idea of boys and girls swapping each other’s clothes, creating their own way of wearing by mixing, matching and layering the garments, Scandinavian-born, now London-based label Pudel was introduced to the fans of androgynous fashion only three seasons ago… (more…)
