NEXT WASTED TOP MODEL :-) - Great gift, great fun, great change to go for project runway or next topmodel.
I´ll tell you what the jury said about my application-photos. I promise, i´ll BRING THE NOISE :-) Thank you Paul - the shirt even fits perfectly! (My posing-backround: XXL-poster by artist Stefan Marx)

For those who didn´t get the hint - BRING THE NOISE is one of the new T-Shirts from the WASTED GERMAN YOUTH empire. As well as the top model shirt it´s available here.

“Serious? Never. Fun? Always.” - Starstyling from Berlin

“Serious? Never. Fun? Always.” For 8 years now, Berlin-based label Starstyling proves how airy it can look when you take yourself not too serious. Katja Schlegel and Kai Seifried, the heads behind Starstyling, play so slickly critical, playful, ironic and humorous with the elements of contemporary fashion that their label soon transformed from an insider tip into an established brand.starstyling-berlin_116285.jpgstarstyling-berlin-_116270.jpg

For several years now, I track Starstyling´s development and I am happy to see that Katja Schlegel and Kai Seifried don´t rest on their laurels and on the simple concept “shirts with great prints”. Instead of, Starstyling moves on with progressive, holistic styles that might overstrain the mainstream-taste, but beat the pants of the mushrooming urban streetwear-labels through creativity, ingenuity and courage. “Serious? Never. Fun? Always.” - The concept works out. At least for Starstyling.starstyling-berlin_116300.jpgstarstyling-berlin_116287.jpg

Paul Snowden rules my day with his kicking-ass modelmania T-Shirt. Available for 65 € in the Wasted German Youth online store, definitely a great choice for your casting-trip to Heidi´s show. You´ll be remembered. For those who want more to know about Paul Snowden, check here, here, there and here again.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT AVANT-GARDE MEANS

Some print American Apparel T-Shirts with slogans and graphics and state to do a fashion label. Others print their hand-sewed T-Shirts and build a whole collection around.
And, if the collection comes successfully along like those from Ground-Zero - then we are dealing with serious fashion designers who show, that building a fashion label doesn´t mean that the work is done with some slogans and prints. Introducing a healthy portion of irony and fun, Ground-Zero ads some extra-sympathy points and for me, the T-Shirts shown above are my today´s favorites.
