I can´t help, but I really prefer staged collection shoots to runway pictures.
It´s one thing, if you´re sitting in the show, getting visually in touch with the collection and feeling the atmosphere. This makes it easy to get the whole picture.
But if I am only able to see photos of walking models, it´s pretty hard for me to connect.
So, I am happy that Ravensbourne graduate Marie Molterer has already staged her collection pieces, she just showed in London at the Graduate Fashion Week 2009.
Having worked for Jonathan Saunders, Preen and Keeler Gordon, the young printed textiles and womenswear designer wowed me with her courageous interplay of colors, materials and volumes.
Although the printed neoprene might not be really comfy if worn for hours, the uncommon fashion-design material makes a great job in keeping the volume while looking a little bit cardboard-like.

Don´t worry, What´s Wrong With The Zoo isn´t going porn - instead, I have a look towards south. To Munich, Germany. In the midst of the Glockenbachviertel, the AMEN Store doesn´t only hawk unique mirroring but also cares about the good style. (read on)
