Tested - The SisiMizi Pants

I have to admit – When I heard from Hamburg´s new trousers label SisiMizi for the first time, I immediately thought of Miss Sixty. And when I think of Miss Sixty, the cheap chic freshwater style comes into my mind. But before it gets ugly, I stop and wit, SisiMizi has nothing in common with that.

SisiMizi is a Hamburg-based trousers label for women, runned by a woman.
Vanessa Henning is the head behind the pants and was tired of the tweaking and pinning, the belly sucking and botty-fitting issues she had while buying pants. Her challenge: to develop a trouser form that is both elegant and sportive, that gently flatters around a Small Size as well as around a female Large body. A trouser-form that suits, that fits, that is wearable on many occasions and multi-flexible combinable.

It´s nice to see that her idea was bearing fruits. Half a year ago, I didn´t know anything about SisiMizi – today, even the not so observant watcher will remark the presence of the pants on Hamburg´s streets. Worn by young woman, elder woman, business women, artist women, party women, thinker women, the tall, the small, the skinny, the bigger – SisiMizi is very present here and it was high time to make a visit and a wearability test.

Although I totally go for the harem and jodhpur pants, the skinny jeans is my standard choice. I am not tall, rather boyish than super female and the mega wide cuts and deep crotches let me even look smaller. And to be honest – who want to look like a midget with a balloon on the bottom? You can imagine my skepticism towards SisiMizi.

Afterwards, I have to call myself fool for needing so much time to discover SisiMizi for me.
After making a mess in the store and wondering how Vanessa and her staff managed to answer my million questions so friendly and patient I felt …happy.
To make a new finding is great. To make a new finding that excites you means even more luck.

The SisiMizi trousers keep the promise. High-quality manufacturing and precious materials are not the only reason to go for and with the pants – the cut makes them really flowing around the legs and gives an ultimate feeling of security. And like you easily will perceive while watching the photos – the trousers also invite to move:-)
Personally, I also like the terms of production – sewing manufacturers in Hamburg, Germany, produce the collections and the changing is done in the sewing atelier that belongs to the store.

In the top-sellers – the pants with wide leg – I felt a little bit lost, but the cuffed ones made me surprisingly feel very comfortable.
