“F.C. Gundlach became a leading name in more than fourty years of photographic activities and through thousands of publications of his photos in German photography since 1945.
His works/photos have been published in dozens of magazines like Deutsche Illustrierte, Stern and Revue, Film und Frau, Brigitte and Annabell as well as Twen and Deutsch. Especially his fashion photography in Film und Frau, (1952 - 1966) and Brigitte, (1963 - 1986) shaped the picture of women in the young German republic decisively. Apart from his dominating fashion photography works there are articles and remarkable reportages and star portraits, the early photographs in the style of subjective photography and a pool of various travel photographs.
The extensive show includes valuable Vintage prints of key works in the F.C. Gundlach oevre and presents the variety/diversity of publication formats and layouts by means of numerous maganzines and in explicitly layouted catalogues of leading fashion designers.
