Weekly Darlin´ – Ephyrae Dress by Alexandra Groover
24. October 2008 Designers & Labels, Weekly Darlin
In love with a dress? Sounds barmy, but happens. To me…once a week. This week, it´s Alexandra Groovers Ephyrae Dress that blows me away.
The California-born designer calls London her home, since studying at Central St. Martin´s. After gaining experience working with Alexander McQueen and Zandra Rhodes, the young designer came up with her own collection and caused lots of attention….
Rightly.
In two collections – Black Label and Grey Label – Alexandra Groover brings sculptural and textural manipulations of fabric into wearable clothing.
While Black Label is a small, more formal collection inspired by the architecture of shells, The Grey Label collection brings timeless day-to-day wearable pieces that show an intelligent, unobtrusive play with form and texture as well as unique details.

Alexandra Groover is one i´ll watch. To get some of her collection pieces, check out her online-boutique.
