Wondering about: Patricia Field, Destination Style and the “Fashion Victims”

9. October 2008 Shop Judith

When I receive press releases that address „Fashion Victims“ I am always embarrassed. EMBARASSED!

With like eyes opened to the fullest extend and looking for an emergency exit and so on. And after the moment of embarrassing I am ready and prepared. For that what comes. Inevitably. Usually it fits perfectly –

the addressing – the release – the product. A unity of bad taste.
Written from “Fashion Victims” to “Fashion Victims” about “Fashion Victims”.

And in the best case – everybody is ecstatic.
Unfortunately – i am not. Not at all.

Dearest readership - Here´s the „translation“ of the press release that arrived in my mailbox.
Like everybody, Patricia Field created her own collection.

In the United States, girls go crazy for it??!
And hopefully, in Germany they will go bananas too.
On October the 16th Patricia Field´s Store will be opened in the Oberhausen-Mall. (It´s like in the middle of nowhere- glamour factor goes far beneath zero)
But that´s not enough. While poor Patricia Fields is travelling from NY City to some shabby German sticks, her multi-animated online-stores will be opened too. Crazy? Maybe for those who aren´t insulted by freshwater Malls and “fashion victims”. Those even might be more excited to read that the price range of the Patricia Fields line is on H&M level because “every women should have the opportunity to get a piece of the glamorous world of design”

Uhmmm. But anyway, I told you: it mostly fits perfectly:

the addressing – the release – the product. A unity of bad taste.

Yo. Any Questions?

P.s. Pat, no offence – you´re still a queen to me. I just think, you deserve better…but you could have done better, too. Oberhausen will bore you away – you´re also welcome in Hamburg. And if you plan to create something new and fresh and unique…you know…like all the things we know you for: Just let me know.

Here some pieces out of the “world of glamour and design”:
