Zoe Bradley – Dramatic Silhouettes

29. June 2009 Art & Fashion Judith

Craftsmanship combined with dramatic silhouette is the handwriting of sculptural artist Zoe Bradley.
After graduating from Middlesex University in 1997, Bradley went on to work with Alexander McQueen. Her wooden doily punched showpieces for SS1999 became iconic pieces, and time spent at McQueen reaffirmed in Bradley that her trademark would be to create spectacular silhouettes.
Working across many disciplines, her work combines sculpture, fashion and theatre.

Her trademark being her oversized silhouettes that she creates highly crafted headpieces, dresses and sets for advertising campaigns, editorial and catwalk shows and window installations. Bradley employs traditional tailoring techniques, but offers a twist of using the more conventional materials of fashion fabrics to her signature material luxury papers.( text quoted from website)
